Blend of Natasha Baig’s voice, Korean music wins hearts in Karachi
Karachi was host to a fusion music concert on Sunday where a fusion of Korean band and Pakistani singer Natasha Baig won hearts. The blend of Shikwa Jawab e Shikwa’s singer’s powerful voice and Korean music was music to the ears of people at the event.
“I performed on two songs with the Korean band,” Baig told Aaj News after the event. “This was a new experience.”
The Korean Fusion Music concert titled ‘Ensemble Su’ was organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan and the Korean Consulate in Karachi.
She said that there was a difference in the music of the two countries. But the purpose of performing with the band was to be able to perform in different languages in the future, she added.
Korean Consul General Yi Sungho praised Baig and expressed his desire to work with more Pakistani artists in the future.
“Exchange of cultural programmes is a good tradition. It will promote the culture of both countries. The culture of Pakistan and Korea is very different, but it will strengthen the cultural relationship,” he said.
Korean artists raised the slogan of Pakistani Zindabad after watching the enthusiasm of the crowd. They enjoyed performing here as Pakistanis gave a lot of love to their performance. They expressed their intention of again visiting Pakistan in future.
Crowd was also greatly entertained by the unique music. But when the artists performed the tunes with their unique musical instruments, the audience could not stop applauding.
Karachi Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon, and Mirza Akhtar Baig attended the event. While at the end of the show, Korean artists were presented with a bouquet of flowers.
