Former finance minister Miftah Ismail has resigned from all positions of the PML-N. He sent his resignation to PML-N’s Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal.

Ismail formally resigned from the post of finance minister on September, 27, 2022, after Ishaq Dar returned to the country.

In his resignation letter, Ismail wrote, “I wish to resign from the position of minister of finance and revenue with immediate effect.

While keeping a distance from the PML-N, he along with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar launched the “Reimagining Pakistan” campaign.

Under the campaign, the political leaders held seminars to discuss the country’s economic and political conditions.
