Watch: How the Simpsons ‘foretold’ Titanic sub mishap
As the search for the missing Titanic expedition sub continues, Simpsons fans are claiming that the cartoon shows the missing sub back in 2006.
The classic cartoon shows how Homer Simpson’s long-lost father Mason Fairbanks gives a speech about their mission before departing on the sub.
“Today I am filled with joy…searching for treasure with my long-lost son. My dream for each of you is that you find the happiness I feel today,” he tells before descending deep down into the ocean.
Similar to the mishap, an oxygen-low light flashed on Homer’s sub later in the episode. Homer woke up in the hospital after being in a coma for three days, surrounded by his family.
The clip is now going viral on social media.
A user wrote that Simpson predicted it again.
Another user wrote that the Simpsons predicted the submarine getting stuck on a titanic trip and the low oxygen.
“Crazy how the Simpsons already predicted about the missing submarine,” a user wrote on Twitter.
