Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ansha Afridi were set to marry each other later this year. However, their wedding is delayed to a later date.

That is according to former Pakistan captain and the father of Ansha, Shahid Khan Afridi. He made this revelation while speaking to SAMAA.

Shaheen and Ansha were set to marry on September 03. As Asia Cup 2023 is being played at that time of the year, it is not possible.

Shaheen will be busy on his national duty, which according to Afridi, is important for both the pacer and Pakistan.

“First, there was uncertainty regarding the Asia Cup, and I’m happy it is being held on time and Pakistan is hosting,” he said. “Due to the reason, their marriage, which is going to happen sooner or later, has been delayed for now.”

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan will be hosting four Asia Cup matches, while the rest of the tournament will be played in Sri Lanka between August 31 to September 17.

Earlier, the pacer tied the knot with Shahid Afridi’s daughter in a nikkah ceremony in Karachi back in February.

Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, and Squash legend Jahangir Khan were among the guests who attended the ceremony. Former cricket team captain Shahid Afridi’s family and close friends were also in attendance.
