The Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has ended its “Pakistan Bachao March” (Save Pakistan March) after successful dialogue with the government.

The announcement was made in a joint presser featuring TLP’s Shafiq Amini and Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in Islamabad.

The authorities were optimistic that the TLP’s “Pakistan Bachao March” (Save Pakistan March) would end even before entering Rawalpindi.

The government claimed that key issues had been settled with the party after the second round of negotiations.

According to Rana Sanaullah and Shafiq Amini, the government has accepted the demands of the TLP, including a reduction in the price of petrol.

He told reports that talks have been held with the delegation of the religious party. “Their reservations were related to the Prophethood, which is the main component of every Muslim’s faith, steps are being taken to protect it.”

Meanwhile, regarding Aafia Siddiqui, he said that the case of Aafia Siddiqui is a national issue, and every Pakistani is saddened by her case. “Fauzia Siddiqui met her a few days ago and the condition in which Aafia was kept is sad.”

He urged that human rights organizations should take notice of it.

Rana Sanaullah said that the TLP demanded a reduction in petroleum product prices. He said they are on the same page as the government also wants to provide relief to the people. “Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has assured to reduce the price of petrol and wants to resolve all issues in a peaceful manner.”

Meanwhile, TLP leader said that the government has accepted other demands including petrol price.

Shafiq Amini appreciated that unlike the previous government, the present government did not take the path of confrontation.

During the press conference, when Shafiq Amini finished his speech, slogans of ‘Labbaik, Labbaik’ were also raised by the activists of the religious party.
