Ali Afzal Sahi arrested from Islamabad court
Sahi is the son-in-law of the sitting chief justice of Lahore High Court
Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA and provincial minister Ali Afzal Sahi was arrested from the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Sahi came to the judicial complex in Islamabad to appear in a case registered against him Golra Police Station but was arrested from outside the building as he left after the hearing.
His lawyer said that his bail had been extended till July 3, but the arrest was made anyway.
Sahi is the son-in-law of current Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti. He served as the provincial minister for communications and works during the Pervaiz Elahi government from 2022 to 2023.
