Maryam to Imran: Your game is over

Says Imran planned 'armed revolt' against the army

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan’s workers were leaving in hordes and there would be no one to take the party’s ticket.

“Your game is over,” Maryam Nawaz said, while addressing a party convention in Vehari.

Maryam said that her father, Nawaz Sharif, had also taken on the military and had even named former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and former DG ISI General Faiz Hameed but had not resorted to violence.

“What kind of traitor would do this,” Maryam said, linkeing the protests of May 9 to ‘armed revolt’ against the army.

She also said that the plan of attacking military installations had been made in Imran Khan’s supervision at Zaman Park. She said that she had ‘information’ that people had been given directions about places to attack in advance.

The PMLN leader also said that the aim of the attacks had been to weaken the army and Imran Khan had been supported by his ‘facilitators’ . She also said that through the attacks, Imran hoped to turn the tide in his favour.

Maryam also said that no one would even apply for a ticket to contest the election on PTI’s ticket and if they did the public would give them the same treatment being given to the attackers involved in May 9 attacks. However, she added that PMLN does not believe in political victimisation.

She also criticised Imran for asking people to protest for him while his own children sat abroad. She also congratulated the ‘public’ for getting rid of the ‘fitna’.

Referring to the departure of PTI leaders from the party she said, “How will the people stand when the leader himself is a jackal?”
