Multiple PTI leaders including former Prime Minister Imran Khan win relief from courts in different cases, Aaj News reported Saturday.
Imran seeks stay in 121 cases proceedings
A petition seeking a stay of proceeding in the 121 cases has been set for hearing on May 8 in the Lahore High Court.
A five-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi will hear the case. Justice Aliya Neelum, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Justice Anwarul Haq Pannu, and Justice Amjad Rafique are other members of the bench.
Registrar’s office has also issued a cause list for hearing petitions.
The bench has ordered Imran Khan to join the investigation. The court has also sought a report of the cases on May 8.
IHC announces verdict in Toshakhana NAB investigation case
Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court has declared NAB’s summon notices to Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi illegal.
In this regard, the court has also issued a written order in the Toshakhana NAB investigation case.
“NAB’s call-up notices have no legal validity,” Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Babar Sattar said it their verdict.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi challenged the summoning notices.
PTI leaders win bail in case of arson, police torture, and petrol bomb-throwing
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended the bail of all the accused in cases of arson, police torture, and petrol bomb throwing.
All the accused have been directed to deposit Rs100,000 each.
PTI leaders Asad Umar, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Yasmin Rashid, Farrukh Habib Masrat Cheema, Hassan Niazi, and Zubair Niazi are among the accused.
The cases have been registered against all the accused at Shadman and Race Course police stations.
