BJP wants to label every Muslim as a terrorist, says Bilawal

India has proved that it does not respect international law: Bilawal Bhutto - Aaj News

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhuto Zardari has said that India’s ruling BJP wants to declare every Muslim as a terrorist to fuel its communal politics in the context of Indian politics.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi on his return from India, Bilawal said he was shocked to learn that BJP did not have a single Muslim member of parliament (MP) in either the upper or lower house of the Indian Parliament.

The foreign minister said India was peddling lies and propaganda about Muslims and Pakistanis and this was the reason behind Indian Foreign Minister’s vehement criticism directed at him because he felt insecure as BJP propaganda was being negated.

Jaishankar was irked by Bilawal’s remarks about weaponizing terrorism for political point-scoring and the Kashmir dispute.

In Karachi, Bilawal said through his visit to Goa, Pakistan was able to raise the issue of Kashmir on Indian soil though the SCO framework did not allow highlighting bilateral issues.

He said he exposed Indian lies that UN resolutions about Kashmir were irreverent.

The foreign minister said that some people expected a thaw in Pakistan-India relations but his visit was never aimed at it in the first place. Pakistan would not hold talks with India until Delhi withdraws its August 5, 2019 decisions, he said.

Bilawal said India’s August 5 move was a violation of bilateral agreements.

The foreign minister termed his visit to Goa as “successful” and said that he held bilateral meetings with all other foreign ministers except Jaishankar. But he insisted that bilateral talks with India were not on his list.
