The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has stopped senior PTI leader Farrukh Habib at the Benazir Bhutto International airport as he was leaving for Dubai.

The FIA officials also took Farrukh Habib’s luggage in its custody saying that his name was on the Stop list.

Farrukh Habib was going to Dubai by PIA flight PK-203, airport sources said. He was to leave for Dubai at 2:10 pm today (Friday), but the FIA stopped him and also tried to arrest him.

They confirmed that his name was on the Stop list. Farrukh was to be arrested, but he escaped the arrest attempt and left the airport.

FIA also took his passport, boarding pass, and luggage in its custody, they added.

Meanwhile, Farrukh Habib confirmed the development in a tweet stating that fascism and fascism are on the rise. “I was going out of the country to visit my family member, but I was stopped by FIA immigration at the airport.”
