IPL copies technology used in PSL opening ceremony
India Premier League is considered one of the top T20 leagues in the world, however, despite their mega status they apparently copied technology used in the Pakistan Super League opening ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday followed by a match between defending champions Gujrat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
The 16th season of the IPL kicked off with a glittering ceremony, which featured India’s top singer Arijit Singh alongside actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna.
However, a light show with the help of drones, which was supposed to be the show stopper, has led people on Twitter to think that it was a copy of the PSL season 8.
They trolled the IPL for apparently copying the idea of showing their trophy in the same manner as the PSL did in Multan earlier this year.
Here are some of the tweets:
Shaharyar Ejaz posted a photo of both ceremonies with a simple caption: “Not surprised.”
Another user congratulated Pakistanis saying that PSL is the worldwide brand now.
Meanwhile, a user said that BCCI robbed the idea from PCB.
