The Counter Terrorism Department has summoned PTI chief Imran Khan, along with 16 other party leaders, in two cases registered against them pertaining to “vandalism” outside the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC) on March 18 when Khan appeared there for a court hearing.

“You are directed that cases have been registered against you. Become part of the investigation at the earliest and present your position or else action will be taken against you,” said the order sent to the PTI leaders.

The first information reports (FIRs) registered at the CTD and the Golra police stations in the federal capital accused the PTI chief and party workers of being involved in attacking police and creating unrest outside the FJC in Islamabad during the hearing of the Toshakhana case on March 18.

“Full implementation of the law will be implemented on an equal footing,” it said.
