Fakhar Zaman creates PSL history
Lahore Qalandars opener Fakhar Zaman has created Pakistan Super League history as he struck the milestone ‘six’ in the PSL8 final on Saturday.
Despite scoring just 39 of 34 balls, Fakhar made the record books thanks to the only maximum he hit against Ihsanullah. He also hit four boundaries in the innings.
The left-hander deposited the Multan Sultans pacer out of the park on the third delivery of the 10th over.
By doing so, he became the first batter ever in PSL history to hit 100 maximums. He took only 75 innings to achieve this feat.
Peshawar Zalmi legend Kamran Akmal is second on the list with 89 sixes in 74 innings. He is followed by Islamabad United’s Asif Ali, who has hit 88 maximums in 68 innings.
Quetta Gladiators and Australia legend Shane Watson is fourth on the list with 81 maximums in 41 innings, while Shoaib Malik is in fifth spot with 77 sixes in the same number of innings.
