PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that he is ready to talk to the army chief for ’the betterment of the country.“ He was speaking to journalists in Lahore.

“But if no one is willing to talk with me, what can I do?” he said.

He added that he had even kept talking to General Bajwa after his government was ousted. “But if someone wants to make me bow down, that will not happen,” he added.

He also said that he has no personal conflict with the establishment but it seemed to him that the current chief considers him his enemy.

He then said that not a single corruption case against him carried any weight and even challenged the army chief to prove a case of corruption against him.

He also said that the establishment has no idea of what politics is about and that the former army chief had stabbed him in the back.

He also dismissed the news of a rift between him and Prince Mohammed bin Salman and said that he is still in touch with the Saudi crown prince.

Regarding elections he said that despite ‘umpires’ being aligned with the the government, he is still confident of winning elections. He also said that conducting elections in the entire country at the same time would help save money in a precarious economic situation.

He also added that he had initially planned to go to islamabad by road for his court appearances. However, the plan was changed after he learnt that he could be arrested at the airport and taken to Balochistan.

However, he added that he was not afraid of going to jail and that the graph of his popularity would go up if he was imprisoned.

He also added that alot of pressure had been applied to make sure Pervaiz Elahi would not side with him but he stuck with PTI. Now PTI must reciprocate the favour.
