What happened to your narratives? Maryam asks Imran
PML-N’s Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz has accused Imran Khan of tunring around from all his narratives, from the ‘regime change conspiracy’ to ‘absolutely not’.
She made the remarks while addressing the party’s youth leadership in Lahore on Tuesday.
“What should your followers do with the ‘Absolutely not’ and ‘Ghulami Namazoor’ stickers on their cars?” Maryam said.
She added that Imran Khan had turned the country’s political discourse to a place where only slogans are exchanged, instead of comparing performances.
Her address on Tuesday was a part of a new mobilisation campaign since her return to Pakistan at the end of January. While addressing workers conventions across the country, she has seemed to make an emphasis on sending out a message to younger voters, a group conventionally understood to be tilted towards Imran Khan.
“You will ask people to fill jails, but have you ever started a college bharo movement?” she said, referring to the PTI’s latest plan for protest.
She also added that Imran Khan was changing narratives because former Army Chief Bajwa was no longer powerful, while America still has power.
