The United States and Pakistan will hold the second round of mid-level defence negotiations will be held from February 13 to 16, a Foreign Office statement said on Sunday.

The meeting is the second leg of the the dialogue that started in January 2021 in Pakistan. The main topic of cooperation in military and scurity matters.

The statement also said that Pakistan will be represented by an inter-agency delegation led by the chief of general staff.

The delegation will include representatives from the foreign office, the joint staff headquarters and all three forces.

The American delegation will be led by a team from the office of the under secretary of defense.

Since the last dialogue there has been a change not only in Pakistan’s government but also its military leadership.
