India has trouble swallowing Pakistani confessions web series Sevak
Pakistani OTT platform Vidly’s recently released web series ‘Sevak - The Confessions’ has upset quite a few people in India.
In the web series, an attempt has been made to expose conspiracies peddled by Hindu extremists and the Indian government for atrocities and terrorist acts perpetrated against the Muslims and Sikhs of India.
The Indian government banned the app, calling this web series a conspiracy against the security and peace of India.
According to Indian media, the Indian government has issued instructions to block Pakistani websites, two mobile applications, four social media accounts and a Pakistani smart TV app.
The series is directed by Anjum Shahzad and written by Sajjad Gul, and features Mohsin Abbas Haider, Nayir Ejaz, Adnan Jafar, Hajra Yameen, Nazrul Hasan and Amara Malik.
The story of the web series is based on events that took place between 1984 and 2022 based on the mysterious murder of a Sikh officer.
Sevak is an action-thriller web series that will feature eight stories.
