Former captain Shoaib Malik has called for reinforcements in the Pakistan team following a heart-breaking defeat against England.

Chasing a 355-run target, the Babar XI were bundled up for 328 on day four at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

The defeat also cost them a chance of making it through to the ICC World Test Championship finals.

Following the game, the all-rounder took to Twitter and suggested that the team management should consider Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shan Masood for the Karachi Test.

It must be noted Shan has not played Test cricket since January 2021, while Sarfaraz last played in January 2019.
