Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan PTI chairman condoled with Turkey on the blast in Istanbul at the start of his address during his party’s “Azadi March” in Khariyan.

“I send prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured and for their families,” the former premier said while addressing the supporters through a video link.

Taking a jibe at the coalition government, Imran Khan said that he had been saying for the last seven months that the country was heading toward destruction and the incumbent rulers could not handle the government.

“They ruined the economy in 2018. How can those who destroyed the economy fix it?”

He alleged while referring to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, that a “convicted criminal” and absconder sitting in London was putting national interest at stake to save himself and was afraid of elections.

“If these two families had to do anything for the country, they could in 30 years,” the PTI chief said referring to the PML-N and PPP senior leadership.

“Immediate elections are necessary to get the country out of the quagmire.”

The former prime minister said that when they were in trouble, they flee to London. “They have been stealing the country’s money for 30 years and taking the stolen money abroad. The nation has rejected them,” he added.

The rulers had never done a single work based on meritocracy, the PTI chief said and added that when the country was being developed, they toppled the government through a conspiracy. “Today every sector is going down in the country.”

Speaking about his party’s long march, Imran Khan said that during the PTI-led government the opposition staged a long march on four occasions, but “we never asked them to end their protest”.

The former prime minister said that the main aim of his march is to seek free and fair elections in the country.

“Many people are saying that this march is moving slowly. This march slowed because I was attacked,” he added.
