Aaj News is inviting students of journalism or mass communication at universities and colleges outside Pakistan to apply to become international correspondents with our television channel.

The ideal candidate would:

• Be a graduate or be enrolled in an academic program. We have a strong preference for people who have studied journalism, mass communications, politics, philosophy, history, international relations but we are open to other subject areas
• Have experience reporting or in a newsroom, have worked as a journalist
• A strong command over spoken Urdu (grammar, accuracy and style)
• The ability to crosscheck or acquire information, do fact-checks from social media
• Develop news stories and features from multiple sources and in multiple formats
• Be able to cover major news events and stories from your location
• Be able to do mobile journalism and reporting for social media
