Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid on Sunday claimed that October and November were decisive and “important decisions will be made”, adding that general elections would be held in February next year.

“I’ll give you the final interview on November 15 and till then all matters would be settled and the country will go for election,” Rasheed claimed speaking exclusively on Aaj News programme Ru Baroo.

Rashid lashed out at the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saying that poor were struggling to buy wheat flour while rulers are enjoying in 7-star hotels in the United States of America.

He said that he was disappointed over the current political situation of the country, adding that he had been receiving threats of kidnapping and murder for many days on his mobile phone.

Earlier on Thursday, an FIR was registered with the Waris Khan police station on Rashid’s complaint against unidentified persons for making threatening calls.

Speaking about the PML-N’s decision regarding replacing Ishaq Dar with Miftah Ismail, the former interior minister said that non-bailable arrest warrants of Dar had been issued, adding that he had filed a petition against 72-minister cabinet of the coalition government and “if he [Ishaq Dar] returns on Tuesday the number will increase to 73”.

On Friday, Rashid challenged appointments of prime minister’s aides in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) contending that the appointment of 72-member cabinet is a violation of Article 92(1) of the Constitution.

He said that immediate elections are the need of the hour.

Replying to a question regarding PTIs conditional return to the National Assembly, Rasheed said that he “think matters are being settled under a deal and the country is heading towards elections”, adding that PML-N’s reservations would also be addressed.
