Gold extends gains as rupee resumes downward slide against dollar
The price of gold extended gains in the local market and increased by Rs3,000 per tola on Friday after the local currency resumed its downward slide against the dollar.
According to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold settled at Rs144,000 while the price of 10 gram gold increased by Rs2,572 and was sold at Rs123,457.
The price of gold in international market went up by $3 and was sold at $1,705 against its sale at $1,702, the association reported.
Meanwhile, the price of per tola silver increased by Rs10 and was sold at Rs1,480 whereas that of ten gram silver went up by Rs8.58 to Rs1,268.86.
