KARACHI: Taimuria Library, located in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area, houses thousands of books on a variety of topics. Now, this haven for book lovers will be open round the clock.

“Our aim is to provide an environment which would help increase people’s interest in books and literature,” Taha Saleem, the deputy commissioner for central district, told Aaj News.

The new library, which is in the North Nazimabad area of the central district, can be visited 24 hours a day. Along with other facilities, the library provides free internet services.

The deputy commissioner claimed that the provincial government has allocated Rs100 million for the development work of the library.

People of all ages can visit the facility. Among those who come to the library are various experts and students. People appreciated the move by the Sindh government, however, they also complained about the increased load shedding.

The library shelves hold thousands of books, including novels, magazines, newspapers, digests, and textbooks. There is also material for CSS aspirants.
