The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has constituted a three-member committee to deliberate and finalize the modalities for implementation of “Friday as Work from Home Day” said a notification issued by the KPK Finance Department on Monday.

The three member committee includes Finance Department (KP) Secretary Ikram Ullah, Environment, Wildlife and Forest Department Secretary Muhammad Abid Majeed and Administration Department Secretary Shahid Sohail Khan.

Following a meeting on the budget on June 13, the KP cabinet had announced that the provincial government would introduce a four-day work week, with Fridays to be work from home in an attempt to cut expenses.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has enforced a one-day work-from-home policy for all the employees of the provincial government.

KP had previously slashed the government officers fuel quota after several price hikes.
