The rain spell that began in Karachi on Wednesday night turned the weather pleasantly cool on Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), showers are also possible on Eid-ul-Fitr.

On Saturday, rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in the outskirts of the city, while bright and sunny weather is forecast for the city on Friday.

The PMD noted that the ongoing rainfall has reduced the intensity of the heat across Karachi, providing temporary relief from the sweltering conditions.
