More than half of Covid-19 cases reported from Sindh for second consecutive day

More than half of the people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours were from Sindh as the province recorded 61 cases out of the total 113, according to the National Institute of Health (NIH) data published on Tuesday.

At least one patient died of Covid-19 on Monday in Islamabad since May 7 when one death was reported in the federal capital.

An uptick in Covid-19 positivity rate was also recorded since June 16 when the ratio crossed one per cent mark.

Sindh is the highly affected province by the pandemic in the last few days as per the National Command and Operation Centre data with Punjab and Islamabad on the second and third numbers respectively.

Out of 171 cases reported on Sunday, 122 people infected with the virus were from Sindh.
