Pakistan dispatched a second consignment of humanitarian assistance supplies to Ukraine on Tuesday that included emergency medicines, electro-medical equipment, winter bedding and food items, reported Radio Pakistan.

A special C-130 will deliver more than 7.5 tonnes of humanitarian assistance items to the Ukrainians. The second part of the same consignment containing another 7.5 tonnes of assistance will be dispatched on June 3 (Friday).

Islamabad had sent the first consignment of humanitarian assistance containing more than 15 tonnes material through two special C-130 from Noor Khan Base in March.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine started since February 24 but Moscow has failed to seize the capital Kyiv or its second city Kharkiv so far. Russian forces are trying to take full control of the Donbas, comprised of two eastern provinces Moscow claims on behalf of separatists.

The United Nations has recorded 3,930 civilian casualties during the conflict, while a large number of Ukrainians fled the country.
