Former prime minister Imran Khan said the vision of Pakistan would be clear when three million people will march to Islamabad as a protest against “imported government”.

He was addressing a public gathering in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.

“The nation will never accept the thieves who are ruling the country on the instructions of a foreign country,” he said, adding the PTI dissidents had become part of the US “conspiracy” which dismissed an elected government in the country.

The PTI chairperson said he never had sour relationships with any country. “I wanted to save my people as we have lost thousands of precious lives in US war against terrorism. I was not agreed to give bases to the US as this would risk lives of people.”

“Why would I sacrifice benefit of the nation to the US? he said, adding the US wanted a leader who was similar to Musharraf. “Such kind of leaders would agree to all demands on a phone call.”

Khan said: “US decided a regime change in Pakistan which was similar to the one they had done in Iran. Initially the US invested in Pakistani media. The media started a campaign against the PTI government by highlighting inflation. Then another investment was made in PTI’s members to buy their loyalties. When the US plan was getting accomplished, the then united opposition parties were asked to hold demonstrations against the former PTI government.”

He further said the media was not covering inflation since the new government assumed office as well as no media person was talking about corruption charges against PM Shehbaz and his son and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz.
