Two terrorists were killed in an intelligence based operation in Balochistan's Mashkai area, the military's media wing said in a statement on Friday.

As per the statement, authorities received report of the presence of terrorists in Singi near Mashkai. Acting on the information on the night between April 7 and April 9, security forces conducted an operation. to apprehend them.

"During the operation, two valiant sons of soil, Naik Tajwali and Sepoy Osama embraced Shahadat while one officer got injured," it added.

The statement further said that the slain terrorists were involved in different security incidents in Awaran district and surrounding areas.

"The terrorists tried to escape from their hideout and opened fire at security forces," it said adding that terrorists belonging to BLF had been killed in the heavy exchange of fire that ensued.

Heavy cache of arms and ammunition have also been recovered which were intended to be used by the terrorists for disrupting peace and security in the area, the ISPR said.
