PTI leader Faisal Vawda claimed on Wednesday that Prime Minister Imran Khan's life was in danger as a conspiracy was being hatched to assassinate Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The claim comes as the ruling PTI's key ally in the Centre, MQM-P, decided to switch sides and become a part of the Opposition to support its no-confidence motion against the premier.

Responding to a question on ARY News show "Off the Record", Vawda said that conspiracy was linked to the memo that the government had received.

The premier at the PTI's March 27 power show in Islamabad had claimed that the 'letter' contained "evidence" of a "foreign conspiracy" to topple his government.

He had also claimed that he along with foreign minister, among others, knew about the conspiracy for months and also knew from what places attempts were being made to exert pressure.

Federal ministers Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry had also shared during a press conference on Tuesday that the letter warned of "horrific consequences" if Imran Khan remained the prime minister.

Vawda today said that PM Imran Khan has a clear stance on the foreign policy of the country, adding that Pakistan’s foreign policy was "mended on the orders of foreign masters in the past."

"Now Pakistan will not become part of anyone’s war."

Replying to a question regarding his claims of threats to the premiers life, Vawda said that the part of the letter that warned of "horrific consequences" were life threatening.

"There is a serious threat to Imran Khan sahab's life," he added.

The PTI leader further said that Imran Khan's life had been under threat even before he was elected as the prime minister. "Agencies used to inform us that there are chances [of Imran Khan being attacked] today, during our rallies," he said.
