Six soldiers martyred as troops foil attack on military compound in Tank

Six soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred on Wednesday when terrorists attempted to attack a military compound in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district, the military media wing said in a statement.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that three terrorists were killed during intense exchange of fire.

According to ISPR, the troops responded in an efficient manner, encircled and killed all the terrorists and foiled the attempted entry inside the military compound.

The martyred soldiers include Subedar Major Sher Muhammad, Naib Subedar Zubaid, Havildar Sohail, Lance Naik Ghulam All, Sepoy Maskeen Ali, and Sepoy Mir Muhammad.

The ISPR said Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Meanwhile, the ISPR in another statement said that the security forces killed four terrorists in Makin area of South Waziristan.

According to the ISPR, during intense exchange of fire Captain Saad Bin Amir and Lance Naik Riaz embraced martyrdom.

Area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.

In its statement, the ISPR stated Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of brave officers and soldiers will further strengthen their resolve.
