Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif expressed hoped that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers would raise their concerns regarding the Kashmir issue and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, PML-N president talked at length about the interview by Kaveh Moussavi, the CEO of asset recovery firm Broadsheet LLC, that exposed the "politically inspired" probe against PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif

Broadsheet CEO apologises to Nawaz, accuses NAB of ‘witch-hunt’

In an interview, Moussavi apologised for being party to a government-financed "witch-hunt" against Nawaz.

Shehbaz thanked Mousavi for formally apologizing, adding that Mousavi admitted that Nawaz and his family was innocent and that it was all a political revenge,

He further said that millions of dollars and pounds of the nation were wasted on 'political revenge' amid inflation. This money should be recovered from those who wasted it to take 'political revenge'.

Broadsheet LLC was engaged by NAB in 2000 to trace offshore assets of Pakistani nationals but the agreement was cancelled in 2003. The government in 2020 paid about $29 million to the firm in damages.

Shehbaz further said that since the last 20 years, the National Accountability Bureau had been ruthlessly initiating investigations against the Sharif family and all its party members but could not prove corruption of a single penny against them.
