Babar Azam eclipses Younis Khan's record for highest fourth innings score by a Pakistani
Pakistan all format skipper Babar Azam on Wednesday broke former cricketer Younis Khan’s record for the highest fourth-innings score after going past Khan's score of 171 that he scored against Sri Lanka in 2015.

Babar, who is leading the home side in the Benaud-Qadir trophy series, had come to the crease on the fourth day of the game with Pakistan staring defeat at 21/2 in a mammoth of 506 run with nearly two days left in the second Test match against Australia at National Stadium Karachi.
Babar broke the record in style after hitting spinner Nathan Lyon for a six.
The right-hand batter, who is still batting at 187 till the writing of this report, has so far faced 385 deliveries and hit 21 boundaries – including 20 fours and one six.
Former captain Younis Khan's 171 came against Sri Lanka at Pallekele in 2015. Pakistan won the match after crucial knocks from Younis, Shan Masood, and former skipper Misbahul Haq. Younis was declared player of the match for his performance.
