Pakistan records under 1,000 Covid cases for 13th consecutive day
Pakistan recorded less than 1,000 Covid cases for the 13th consecutive day as 723 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre data issued on Friday.
Daily Covid positivity rate was at 1.82% across the country, while seven people died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, as per the NCOC data.
Currently, 677 people infected with the virus are on critical care.
More than 101 million people have been fully vaccinated against Covid, while 678,788 doses of vaccines were administered during the last 24 hours, stated the NCOC data.
During the last week, Cricketer Faheem Ashraf tested positive for the virus and had been asked to isolate for five-days isolation, as per protocol, before the first test match between Pakistan and Australia in Rawalpindi.
However, Pakistan Cricket Board cleared Ashraf to play the second test in Karachi after his retest for Covid came back negative on Thursday.
