Bilawal mocks PM Imran's "lack of tolerance" of media criticism
Chairman Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday said that as soon as PM Imran Khan came into power, farmers became the first victim of his tenure due to the unfair distribution of water.
Addressing participants at Moro in Sindh, one of the dozens of stopover of PPP's protest march to Islamabad, Bilawal said that reducing the price of petrol by Rs10 after increasing it by Rs12 just a little while back was an attempt to fool the public.
He also reiterated the opposition's claim that the government's decision to announce reduction in petrol prices and power tariffs was in response to the pressure created by the opposition's protest that has articulated the people's discontent with the government.
He said that such attempts to pull the wool over the public's eye. "By how much will the government reduce the prices of petrol and power tariff when the PPP march reaches Islamabad," he stated.
Talking about labourers and farmers, Bilawal said such individuals work the hardest to earn their livelihood but they were still suffering hardships due to the incompetency of the incumbent government.
Referring to the tenure of the Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal said that she followed the visionary politics of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, while calling the policy decisions of the current government detrimental to the country's growth.
"Pakistanis have realized that the incumbent government is destroying the economy of the country in the name of so called Tabdeeli (change)."
Reacting to Prime Minister’s address to nation, Bilawal Bhutto said that the head of the country had no tolerance for criticism by the media.
