A video of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Nawaz Sharif visiting a factory and attending a briefing with his sons and former finance minister Ishaq Dar in London has gone viral and divided the internet. That it comes a day after fresh medical reports were submitted in the Lahore High Court has raised concerns about the true nature of his health with social media users wondering why he can visit factories but not travel to Pakistan.

In the video, the PML-N leaders appeared to be receiving a briefing from the staff.

Nawaz is reported to have visited a local industrial unit in Nelson, a town in the Borough of Pendle in Lancashire, is some 245 miles away from Central London, quoted some media reports in a The News story.

According to Nawaz's fresh reports submitted in the LHC, doctors restricted him to travel to Pakistan as it might increase the risk of him developing the “Takotsubo Syndrome.”

The Takotsubo Syndrome, also known as broken heart syndrome, is a weakening of the left ventricle, the heart's main pumping chamber, usually as the result of severe emotional or physical stress, such as a sudden illness, the loss of a loved one, a serious accident, or a natural disaster such as an earthquake, according to Harvard Medical School.

But what’s most unusual about this syndrome is that it almost exclusively occurs in women.

Talking to Geo's Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Key Sath on Wednesday the PML-N leader's son Hussain Nawaz said the video was four to five months old and that it should have been telecast earlier. He said he persuaded his father to accompany him to visit a friend for a change of scene and the friends took them to the factory.

Hussain said doctors treating his father were not confident of his health due to the pressures of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

In response to another question of Nawaz undertaking the business visit to Manchester despite medical challenges, while refusing to come to Pakistan, Hussain noted the visit was not a business undertaking.

He visited a factory regulated by Covid SOPs with minimum staff for two to three hours. In the premises the elder Sharif was not required to wear face mask with fewer factory staff around and properly regulated physical distancing, Hussain told the host.

To a question why Nawaz can't return to Pakistan in an air ambulance, Hussain responded by asking whether he wanted the former prime minister to "return to the threatening conditions back home".

Hussain also told the host about the health condition of Nawaz when he left for England in 2019 when his platelets dropped to a threatening level. "The condition of Nawaz did not instantly improve on arriving in the UK, but stabilised in several months."

Social media was flooded with responses on this Nawaz video with many asking him to return to Pakistan and "die honourably among his people"

Another user asked British authorities to form an independent medical board to verify Nawaz Sharif’s health condition.

Questions were also raised on the capability of Nawaz in dealing the stress which is crucial to run a country facing multiple threats, including security and economic ones.
