Iran’s army chief has issued a stark warning that no enemy troops would survive any ground offensive against the country, as tensions continue to rise amid fears of a broader regional conflict.

Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami said Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any aggression.

“No enemy troops should survive if adversaries attempt a ground operation,” he was quoted as saying by state media.

According to the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Hatami made the remarks during a high-level meeting of military leadership, where he directed operational headquarters to monitor “enemy movements with utmost pessimism and accuracy” and maintain readiness for immediate and effective retaliation.

He also instructed commanders to closely track the activities of the United States and Israel, warning that any potential ground incursion would be met with overwhelming force.

The comments come as US President Donald Trump said the conflict with Iran could be nearing its end, even as Washington reportedly continues to reinforce troop deployments in the Gulf, raising concerns about possible preparations for escalation.

In a separate statement, Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said the country’s strategic missile, drone and air defence facilities remain beyond the reach of adversaries.

He asserted that Iran’s military production sites are located in undisclosed and secure locations, making them inaccessible to foreign forces.

Any attempt to target these installations would be based on “miscalculation,” he added, claiming that sites identified by adversaries are not of strategic importance.

Zolfaqari further warned that the conflict would continue until Iran’s enemies face “irreversible consequences” and are forced into retreat.

State media also released video footage showing Hatami in a meeting with senior commanders and connected via video link to other officials. The timing of the footage, however, could not be independently verified.

The statements are being viewed as a significant escalation in rhetoric, underscoring Iran’s readiness for a prolonged confrontation if tensions spill into direct military engagement
