Nazim Jokhio's mobile phone, clothes recovered from a well near Jam House
KARACHI: The police recovered Sunday the victim's mobile phone and clothes from a well situated near the Jam House, belonging to PPP MPA Jam Owais, the prime suspect, in Karachi's Malir.
In a major development in the investigation into the Nazim Jokhio murder case, the clothes and mobile phone of the victim have been recovered and would be sent to the Punjab Forensic Laboratory.
The accused arrested in the murder case had revealed during interrogation that Nazim Jokhio's mobile phone and clothes had been thrown into the well.
The police officials said that the suspects set the well on fire after dumping the belongings of the victim in it.
The investigation team reached the well and recovered both the items after identification by the arrested suspects. Most part of the victim's mobile phone had burnt in the fire, the police officials said.
It may be recalled that Nazim Jokhio was held hostage and brutally tortured to death at the warehouse in Jam House at Malir, Mamon Goth.
A few days ago, Nazim Jokhio had indulged in an argument with some foreigners who were friends of MPA Awais and they were illegally hunting the endangered houbara bustard. When Nazim Jokhio stopped them from illegal hunting and they refused, he made the video of their hunting and uploaded it on social media.
