The PCB Blasters on Friday won the toss and decided to field against the PCB Strikers at the National Stadium, Karachi in the ninth cricket match of Pakistan Cup Women's One-Day 2021/22.

The PCB Strikers scored 155 runs with a loss of seven wickets in 43 overs till the filing of the report.

After winning the toss, Sidra Nawaz, captain of PCB Blasters, admitted that her team was lagging behind in the batting and couldn’t achieve the target of 250 plus runs in the matches, which the team had been played in the series.

However, she mentioned that the upcoming three matches were important to achieve the target.

Kainat Imtiaz, captain of PCB Strikers, said the team had two changes: Fatima Khan and Asma Amin were replaced by Bisma Amjad and Aima Saleem.

Another match of the tournament between PCB Dynamites and PCB Challengers is being played today at Oval Academy Ground, Karachi. PCB Dynamites won toss and elected to bat.

The series of 12 matches started on September 9 with four teams namely PCB Blasters, PCB Strikers, PCB Dynamites and PCB Challengers are in action. It will continue till September 19.
