The Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar is famous for his bold statements that often get him into controversies. He recently made some inappropriate remarks regarding his senior players including the Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram.

Shoaib Akhtar while speaking in an interview with ARY News said that Wasim Akram himself had spent his entire life at clubs. "I used to get injections for my knee problem so couldn’t do that often. But if I went to the club once in a blue moon, what's the big deal?" added Akhtar.

Akhtar, who is regarded as the fastest bowler in the history of international cricket, said that whatever he knows, he has learnt from his seniors, and all his seniors would be clubbing.

"So I have learnt that from them too. If my seniors were disciplined, so would I.”

Wasim Akram furiously reacted to all the statements made by Shoaib Akhtar and stated that he doesn’t know why people take Shoaib seriously.

"One day he wants to become the PCB chairman and the other day he comes up with distasteful statements. If someone can’t behave, then he doesn’t know anything in life,” Akram said.
