4,119 Covid cases reported in Pakistan, highest since May
Pakistan's daily Covid case count crossed 4,000 according to new figures released Wednesday by the National Command and Operation Centre. The 4,119 figure is the highest it's been since May 22.
NCOC also reported 44 deaths from coronavirus taking the total tally to 23,133.
According to the NCOC, 52,291 tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours of which 4,119 tested positive.
The positivity rate in the country now stands at 7.8%
According to officials from the health ministry, Pakistan's coronavirus death rate in July surpassed the global death rate figures.
The worldwide death rate in July was between 2.15% to 2.17% according to WHO whereas the figures for Pakistan for the same period was between 2.30% and 2.37%
