As he was leaving the court after having his remand extended by another two days, the man accused of beheading Noor Mukaddam told a crowd of reporters that his life was "still in danger."

The video was posted by a social media user Annie on Twitter and could not be independently verified by Aaj.

Zahir was accompanied by a heavy contingent of Islamabad policemen who surrounded him as they escorted him ostensibly to a vehicle as the video clip does not show where they were taking him.

He was produced in court as requested by the courts and his remand was extended by another two days. Public prosecutor Sajid Cheema told the court that they have recovered a pistol from the accused.

The police are still trying to recover his mobile phone.

The police said that Jaffer's parents and two domestic staff workers were arrested on Saturday for concealing a crime. Later, the parents and two employees were remanded into police custody for two days.

It's not clear why Zahir thinks his life is in danger or from who but his comment has been met by much scorn on Twitter.

Pakistanis remain shocked by the gruesome manner in which Noor was killed on July 20 and have taken to social media to demand justice or show solidarity with her grief stricken parents. Vigils have also been held in major cities demanding the government ensure safety for women.
