Pakistan reported less than 1,000 Covid cases in the past 24 hours
ISLAMABAD: In the past 24 hours, Pakistan reported less than a thousand new coronavirus cases, making it the second such occasion in the past week.
Pakistan has been able to contain the spread of lethal flu bug courtesy of effective lockdown restrictions and timely decisions taken by the governments on both federal and provincial levels.
According to the statistics provided by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 991 new coronavirus cases and 27 new Covid casualties were reported in Pakistan yesterday. The number of active cases has gone down significantly in the past month or so.
The coronavirus positivity rate of the country (that is the percentage of newly confirmed cases out of the total tests conducted) remained 2.14% in the last 24 hours.
