Pakistan receives 2 million doses of Sinovac vaccine
1 min readPakistan on Sunday has received 2 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine that it purchased from China.
According to the details shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, a special Pakistan International Airline (PIA) plane carrying the doses arrived in Islamabad from Beijing, China.
This shipment of vaccines is purchased by Pakistan from China, shared NCOC, and added Pakistan has so far received 11 million vaccine doses.
"PIA plane carrying 2 Million doses of Sinovac vaccine has reached Pakistan today. This consignment is purchased by Pakistan from China. With the arrival of this consignment, a total of 11 million doses of vaccines have been received by Pakistan."
Current situation of COVID-19 in Pakistan:
Pakistan on Monday has reported 3,060 new cases and 57 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to statistics shared by NCOC, 58,670 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which 3,060 came out positive.
There are currently 4,763 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country. And the reported positivity rate is 5.21%.
