Minister for Planning and Development, Asad Umar has said every country has a right to take decisions to safeguard the health of their citizens.

In a tweet, he said the recent decision by UK government to add some countries including Pakistan on the red list raises a legitimate question whether choice of countries is based on science or foreign policy.

Meanwhile, addressing a ceremony at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Karachi today (Saturday), Asad Umar said an important phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor has been started that will generate employment opportunities in the country.

He said Chinese investment under the CPEC in industrial zones will help in stabilizing the national economy.

About federally funded projects in Karachi, he said work on Green Line Rapid Bus Service to facilitate the citizens is underway and it is our utmost effort to start the service in August this year.
