Pak/ Covid: 50 plus casualties reported for the third consecutive day
Of late, a spike is seen in daily coronavirus-related deaths in Pakistan as more than 50 casualties have been reported for the third day in a row.
- A total of 37,998 Covid tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, out of which 1,579 returned positive.
In the last 24 hours (on 4th March), the deadly flu bug claimed at least 52 more lives in the country. Death tallies on the previous two days remained over 50 as well as on 3rd March, 63 people died due to Covid while on 2nd March, at least 75 succumbed to the viral infection.
According to the Ministry of National Health Services, the latest coronavirus statistics of Pakistan are as follows:
Total cases: 587,014
New cases (last 24 hours): 1,579
Total deaths: 13,128
New deaths (last 24 hours): 52
Total recovered: 556,769
Positivity rate of last 24 hours: 4.1%
Active cases: 17,117
Critical cases: 1,551
