Three killed as factory catches fire in Baldia town Karachi

At least three people have died as a fire erupted in a thread factory in Baldia Sector 5 of Karachi on Wednesday morning, local media reported.

According to the details, fire brigade teams along with four fire tenders, and a snorkel were rushed to the scene immediately. It took 6 hours for firefighting teams to douse the fire.

At least three people were killed and a firefighter was injured in the fire.

The fire officer told the media that the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. He pointed out fire security measures were not in place. There was no emergency gate in the factory’s multi-story building, whereas, only one route was present for entrance and exit purposes, he added.
