CTD arrests most-wanted terrorist in a joint raid in Karachi
1 min readCounter-Terrorism Department (CTD) along with a sensitive institution conducted a joint raid in Karachi and detained Abbas Jafri, the most-wanted terrorist of a proscribed organization.
As per details, Abbas Jafri, who was named in the ‘Red Book’ compiled by the government, was arrested and shited to an unknown location by the law and enforcement agencies for further investigations.
The raiding team also confiscated weapons from his possession.
The CTD spokesperson said that the detained terrorist had received training from a neighbouring country in 2014 where he was taught medical and intelligence services. The CTD briefed media that Jafri is also an automatic weapon specialist.
The arrested terrorist is a close aide of another most-wanted terrorist Yawar Abbas and was allegedly involved in completing rekey for terrorists to carry out different activities in Karachi. The CTD had formed different teams to arrest his accomplices.
On January 21, CTD arrested two alleged target killers, wanted in more than 30 incidents of street crimes, during a search operation in FC Area of Karachi.
