PTI appoints Haleem Adil as opposition leader in Sindh Assembly
1 min readThe Sindh Assembly secretariat on Tuesday issued notification of the appointment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Haleem Adil Sheikh as the new opposition leader in the provincial assembly. The notification came after the resignation of PTI's Firdous Shamim Naqvi resigned.
According to the details, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani on Monday had accepted Naqvi's resignation. The PTI leader had tendered his resignation earlier this month as the leader of the opposition in the assembly.
As per media reports, Naqvi offered his resignation on the basis that the opposition was not allowed to play its due role due to the dictatorial tendencies on the part of the treasury benches.
