'Govt will deal with the opposition leadership under the law if they hold long march'
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed says the opposition parties alliance will not tender resignations from the assemblies and will also contest the upcoming Senate and bye-polls.
Talking to a private news channel, he expressed the hope that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would clinch majority seats in the upcoming Senate elections.
Sheikh Rasheed said Prime Minister Imran Khan would not compromise on his principles as his government came into power on the mandate of across the board accountability of the looters and plunderers.
He said door for negotiations always remain open in politics to resolve the issues amicably and the government is ready to initiate dialogue with opposition in the Parliament on all national issues but not on NRO.
Replying to a question, the Interior Minister said the government will deal with the opposition leadership under the law if they hold any kind of long march towards Islamabad.
